Detoxification and Residential Treatment programmes · Three-year accreditation term

I led the implementation as a structured, cross-functional quality-improvement programme — aligning executive leadership, coordinating eight departments, and guiding the development and implementation of approximately 90 policies and procedures.

The project strengthened governance, accountability, documentation, operational consistency, quality-management systems, and organisational readiness for the CARF survey.

During the wider organisational improvement period, average client length of stay increased by 87%, alongside improvements in programme quality and business performance.

Why project management
Without clear project management, accreditation exceeds its budget and its timeframe.

Accreditation touches every department at once — policies, evidence, training, and leadership decisions. Run without structure, it stalls, costs grow, and survey dates slip. Run as a managed project, it stays on scope, on budget, and on schedule.

How the implementation is managed
01
Assess
Clarify gaps, priorities, resources and survey timeline.
02
Structure
Create the roadmap, ownership matrix, governance and tracking system.
03
Implement
Coordinate departments, policies, evidence and operational changes.
04
Prepare
Review progress, close gaps and support organisational survey readiness.
Why work with me

Accreditation run as a managed project — clear scope, milestones, and cadence instead of overruns and slipped survey dates.
Implementation, not paper compliance
Standards embedded into everyday operations — so quality lives in the organisation, not only in the accreditation file.

Why pursue CARF accreditation
A recognised signal of quality — and a driver of real organisational improvement.

CARF accreditation demonstrates conformance to internationally accepted standards in health and human services. Beyond the certificate, the process itself strengthens how an organisation is governed, managed, and improved — which is why it is worth running as a serious project.

CARF-accredited providers on average see the following improvements from their first survey to their latest survey:
+26%
Increase in persons served annually
+37%
Increase in conformance to quality standards
+37%
Increase in annual budget dollars
